Struthers - Zelpha I. Centofanti, 81, died Thursday August 4, 2011 at her home.
Mrs. Centofanti was born January 8, 1930 in Piedmont, SC, a daughter of James and India Ash Stargel.
Mrs. Centofanti previously worked for Kmart for 5 years and was a homemaker. She enjoyed bowling in her younger years, gardening, going on bus trips to the casinos with her dear friend, Mary, and reading. She enjoyed her family, spending time with her grandchildren and her great grandson.
Her husband, Vincenzo "Jim" Centofanti, whom she married September 15, 1951, died November 9, 2006. She leaves two daughters, Debbi (Rob) Yurko of Pulaski, PA and Denise (John) Paliga of Lakemore; two sons, Vince (Bonnie) Centofanti and Kenneth (Colleen) Centofanti, both of Struthers; eight grandchildren; Noah Barber, Amy Paliga, Kerry (Michael) Milano, Matthew Paliga, Corey Centofanti, Allison Centofanti, Michelle Centofanti, and Juilia Centofanti ; and a great-grandchild, Vinny Milano.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Vincy Centofanti; two brothers; and five sisters.
Services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Poland. Interment will follow at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery.
Family and friends will be received Tuesday 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM. at the funeral home prior to the service.
