Struthers - Yolanda Sara Lucille Parish, 89, of Struthers, died Tuesday morning at Masternick Memorial Health Care Center.
Yolanda was born April 6, 1923 in Campbell, a daughter of Michael and Karina Thomas Trombacco.
A 1940 graduate of Campbell High School, Yolanda worked at the Youngstown Sheet & Tube Pipemill during World War II and then as a secretary for Youngstown State University. She was a member of St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church.
Her husband Salvadore Parish, whom she married October 21, 1941 died April 28, 1994; she leaves two daughters, Eloise (Jay) Chuck of Sarasota, FL, and Charlotte Smith of North Royalton; one son, Sal "Butch" (Kathryn) Parish of Boardman; one sister, Helen Shepas of Struthers; one sister-in-law, Norma Trombacco of New Springfield; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Besides her parents and husband, Yolanda was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Trombacco; and one brother, Herman Trombacco.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, 12:00 PM at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church, 764 5th Street, Struthers, OH 44471, with Fr. Bernard Gaeta officiating.
Friends will be received Friday from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the church. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers.
Contributions may be made in the form of Masses to St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church or St. Charles, or to the Donor's choice.
