William Francis Zarbaugh, 91 Poland- William Francis Zarbaugh, 91, formerly of Poland died early Saturday morning at Shepard of the Valley Boardman. Mr. Zarbaugh was born in New Martinsville, West Virginia August 21, 1912, a son of Clyde and Cleona Moore Zarbaugh. He was a life long area resident. His business career included work at Cold Metal Products, Jones and Laughlin Steel and General Fire Proofing. He became Vice President of each of those companies. He was later the President of Youngstown Research and Development. He was active in various local organizations. Over the years he served as President of the Youngstown Rotary Club, was Chairman of the United Way Drive and President of the Youngstown Safety Council. He was also a proud member of the Shaggy Dogs. Mr. Zarbaugh was a member of the Poland Presbyterian Church. His wife, the former Lucille Virginia Pipher, whom he married in 1935, died in 1976. He leaves one son, Stephen (Mary) Zarbaugh of Brookfield; two daughters, Marcia (Terry) Baugh and Thania (Thomas K.) Griffiths both of San Diego, CA; four grandchildren; Amy (John) Griffiths Gonzales, Ellen (Freddie) Baugh Monfredi, Robert Michael Baugh, and Stephen Zarbaugh; and three great-grandchildren: Maiven Monfredi, Laurel Quinn Zarbaugh, and Thomas Luis Gonzales. He also leaves his A.F.S. daughter, Hatsuyo Shima Stroh and her daughter June (Jeb) Slowik. He will be greatly missed by his long time companion, Alma Morgan. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Herbert Zarbaugh; one sister, Helen Cramer; and one grandson, William. Funeral services will be Monday 10 AM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland. Friends may call Sunday from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.
