William E. Seamans Sr. 70, of Poland died Wednesday afternoon July 19, 2017 at Hampton Woods in Poland surrounded by his two daughters and his former wife. He was born April 13, 1947 in New Castle, Pa., a son of Gerald and Mary Sheehan Seamans and had been a lifelong area resident.
William was a 1965 graduate of Mowhawk High School and had been an assembler at General Motors. He was an Army veteran and had served proudly in the Viet Nam War.
He is survived by his two daughters, MyLinda Seamans of Boardman and April Seamans of Youngstown; a sister, Thelma Seamans in Arizona, and a granddaughter, Shawna Seamans of Youngstown.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, William Seamans Jr.; three sisters, and nine brothers.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday July 26, 2017 at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Poland. Friends May call one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
