Youngstown- William Edward and Judith Ann Schmidt, died together, unexpectedly with their granddaughter Corinne, on Monday, March 30, 2015. They were both graduates of Woodrow Wilson High School, Billy class of '71 and Judy class of '74, and were married on October 5, 1974. They are survived by their three children, Lori Ann Schmidt, Lynn Marie Schmidt and William Edward Schmidt Jr; their granddaughter, Ava Jade Seman; nephews, Ryan and Aaron Evans and Eddie Bodema; nieces Amanda Hauch, Jessica Seydlorsky, Brandy Bodema and Hannah Wormley.
Billy was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and Harley Davidson motorcycles. He was considered the "Grill Master" and loved people.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward E. Schmidt; and his life long friend, Henry Kotsel.
He is survived by his mother, Evaline Schmidt; sisters, Diane Marie Evans, Connie (Dennis) Glozer, Joanie Bodema and Tammie (Gregg) Wormley; and several great nieces and nephews.
Judy enjoyed making beautiful quilts, walking, completing puzzles and was playing games. She was a very warm and friendly person who made everyone feel at home when they visited. She and Billy were considered by many people as second parents.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Gertrude Eberle; her brother, Joseph Eberle and brother-in-law, Terry Troy.
She is survived by her sisters, Kathy Stewart and Mary Ann Troy; several nieces and one nephew.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2pm in the Davis-Becker Funeral Home, 8536 Market St. Boardman. Visitation will follow the services from 3-6pm at the funeral home.
