William E. Lawrence

Poland - William E. Lawrence, 75, died Friday, December 2, 2022 at Hospice of the Valley's Hospice House.

Bill was born April 12, 1947 in Youngstown, Ohio, son of the late Joseph and Tassie Berdy Lawrence.

A lifelong resident of the Mahoning Valley, Bill was a 1965 graduate of Poland Seminary High School. His lifelong passion for music began in high school while playing in the marching band. He continued his education at Youngstown State University and the Dana School of Music, receiving his Bachelor's degree in Music. An extremely gifted musician, Bill could play most any instrument. He was a member of the band, The Insights, and arranged two records for the band. He was also a member of the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra.

Bill was of the Catholic faith and attended Holy Family Parish through the years.

He is survived by his niece, Catherine Bieterman of Painesville, Ohio; nephews, Gregory (Amy) Bieterman of Oldsmar, Florida, and Robert (Susan) Bieterman of New Concord, Ohio; several cousins including two very special cousins, Gerald (Rose Marie) Kotchmar of New Castle, Pennsylvania and John Kotchmar of Poland, Ohio; a great-niece, Caroline; and great-nephews, Jonathan and Joseph.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Bieterman; and his seven uncles, Elbert, Paul, Samuel, Edward, Peter, Michael, and George Lawrence.

There will be no calling hours or services. Interment will take place in Poland Riverside Cemetery.
