Poland - William Clark Huffman, 95, of Poland, passed away Thursday the 27th at his home in Poland which he lived with his wife, Evelyn Mae (Tiday) Huffman whom preceded him in death last June.
William was born August 25, 1914 in Youngstown, a son of Joseph and Georgia Clark Huffman.
He attended South High School and retired as an engineer from Republic Steel in 1976 after 37 years of service. After retiring William continued to work well into his 80's.
Before moving to Poland, he spent many years living on Lake Tomahawk enjoying his favorite pastime, fishing and gardening, with many hours spent fly fishing for trout in Pennsylvania. William was an artist and left his family with many beautiful images to cherish. William played softball in his younger days and watched sports enthusiastically all his life. He was known to know his way around the kitchen and you could count on something sweet from the oven.
He leaves his daughter, Dianne Huffman of Poland; two step-children, Rita (Tony) Kulisz and Ron (Elayne) Prater; a daughter-in-law Virginia Huffman; sister Elaine Vaughn of New Middletown; brother Richard Huffman of CA; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
William lived, loved, laughed and was an inspiration to be strong in mind and health (What a treasure we have lost). He lives through the people who were blessed enough to know him.
Besides his parents and wife, William was preceded in death by his son William Huffman Jr.
A private Memorial will be given by his family. William will be buried in Poland Riverside Cemetery, Poland.
