Poland - William A. Fox, 93, died December 18, 2014 at the Hospice House.
Mr. Fox was born December 14, 1921 in Youngstown, a son of Milton and Lena Deisler Fox.
He was a 1940 graduate of Wilson High School and attended Youngstown College for
accounting and business.
He worked as a property ledgers clerk for Youngstown Sheet and Tube, retiring in 1976.
Bill was a member of Poland Presbyterian Church. He was a member of the Wick Lodge 481 F & AM where he was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite. He was also a member of the Saxon Club, the Youngstown Shrine Club, and founding member of The Bears Club. Bill was a veteran of the United States Army having served during WWII from 1942-1946.
He was an avid golfer and followed all the Poland sports.
He leaves his wife, Peg of Poland, whom he married May 22, 1971; one son, Daniel James (Linda) Fox of Poland; one step-daughter, Barbara (Jim) Stewart of Poland; one step-son, Jeff (Pam) Swanson of Bluffton, SC; six grandsons; and nine great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Jane (Reese) Fox; one brother, John Fox; and one sister, Ruth Jones.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 1:00PM at Poland Presbyterian Church, with military honors.
