William L. Ensley Jr., 68 Boardman- William L. Ensley Jr., 68, died Tuesday afternoon at Select Specialty Hospital at St. Elizabeth. He was born in Youngstown June 29, 1935 a son of William L. Ensley Sr. and Mary E. Hamilton. He was a lifelong area resident. Mr. Ensley was a 1953 graduate of Boardman High School, attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, and was certified as a Peace Officer of the Academy of Mahoning County. He was a former WKBN T.V. News photographer. He was also Captain of the Boardman Police Department and Range Instructor at the Mahoning County Sheriffs Department. He went on to retire from WCI Security in 1996. He was a member of the Mahoning County Crime Clinic of Greater Youngstown. He leaves his wife, the former Nancy Blystone, whom he married October 13, 1955; three daughters, Kathleen Ensley of Poland, Lisa (John) Antonas of Poland, and Kori (Brett) Rupert of New Middletown; two sons, William L.( Joy) Ensley III of Canonsburg, PA and Kurt (Roseann) Ensley of Boardman; two brothers, T. Edward Ensley of Youngstown and James L. Ensley of Covington, LA; twelve grandchildren, William L. Ensley IV, Garrett D. Ensley, Robert R. Gaines III, Anthony J. Antonas, Michael J. Antonas, Alisse K. Antonas, Kollin N. Rupert, Kelsey L. Rupert, Karli R. Rupert, Kyler L. Rupert, Rene N. Nikolopoulos, and Alex Nikolopoulos; and one great- grandson, Alexander William Ensley. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl D. Ensley and Philip M. Ensley; and one granddaughter Marie Elainea. Funeral services will be Saturday 10 AM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland. Friends may call Friday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
