William E. Evans

William E. Evans, 70 Nathareth, PA- William Evans, 70, formerly of Poland, died Wednesday at St. Lukeâa�a��s Hospital in Fountain Hill, PA. Mr. Evans was born October 25, 1931 in Youngstown, a son of G. Taylor and Mary Louise Snyder Evans. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Babson Institute in Wellsley Hill in 1958. He was Assistant Manager of the Citizenâa�a��s Utilities Water Company of Pennsylvania of Wyomissing, serving Palmer Township, Wind Gap, and Nazareth. He was a member of the American Legion Post #470, Bath, Poland Lodge F&AM 766 and a 32 degree Mason.He was past president of the Nazareth School Board and a member of the American Water Works Association. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict form 1953 until 1956. Besides his wife, the former Sally Mehard, whom he married in June 1955, he leaves two sons, William E. Evans Jr. of Easton, PA, and Robert M. Evans of Nazareth, PA; a sister, Sally Glass of Mt. Dora, FL.; and three grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland. Friends may call Monday from 9:45 AM until 10:45 AM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may go to the VNA Hospice at St. Lukeâa�a��s, 709 Delaware Ave., Bethlehem, PA 18015, or a charity of oneâa�a��s choice.
