William Calabrette, 76 STRUTHERS- William Calabrette, 76, died Monday evening at his residence. He was born in Lowellville October 10, 1926, a son of Joseph and Agnes Scarpelli Calabrette. Mr. Calabrette worked at Republic Steel in the shipping department for 34 years. He was a member of S.O.A.R. and Saint Nicholas Church, where he was an usher for 30 years. He was a United States Army veteran. Mr. Calabrette coach Little League Baseball for 20 years. He leaves his wife, the former Janice Pompeii, whom he married July 29, 1948; one daughter, Marie (Larry) Stoner of Canal Fulton, OH; two sons, William (Joyce) Calabrette and Joeseph Calabrette both of Struthers; two sisters, Norma (Art) Baldini and Mary Shwartz both of Pittsburgh; five brothers, Edward (Annette) Calabrette of Youngstown, Samuel Calabrette of Poland, Albert (Millie) Calabrette of Warren, and Michael (Audrey) Calabrette of St. Petersburg, FL.; 6 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Frank Calabrette; and one sister, Virginia Baze Funeral Services will be held Thursday 11 AM at Saint Nicholas Church. Friends may call Thursday from 10:00-10:45 at the church. Arrangements are being handled by the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers.
