William Joseph Buiney

William "Bill" Joseph Buiney, 80, of Boardman, OH, died Sunday afternoon, April 22, 2018 at Hampton Woods.

William was born February 12, 1938 in New Castle, PA, a son of William and Jennie Cwynar Buiney.

He was a graduate of New Castle High School and attended Penn State University. Bill retired from Flowline where he worked as an engineer.  He also served in the United States Army. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.

Bill loved going to the gym to work out; listening to Polka music; and visiting with lifelong friends, Robert (Grace) Cirwinski, David (Sandy) Parillo, Paul (Joyce) Pagley, Larry (Marian) Keith and Bill (Pat) Wrona.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Shirley Caltury Buiney; nephews, Anthony J. Caltury and Robert Maxwell; niece, Angela (Jeff) Harper; great nephews, Michael Caltury, Zachary Mundorff, Anthony (Beth) Caltury and Adam (Erica) Caltury; great-great nephew, Kai Mundorff; great-great niece Addison Caltury; sister in law, Wanda Caltury; and his God sons, David Parillo and Robert Wilczek.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jean (Dr. George) Maxwell; mother-in-law, Stella Caltury; brother-in-law, Eugene Caltury; and great-niece, Niki Mundorff.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, 1:00 p.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Poland with Deacon Paul Lisko officiating.  Interment will follow at the Riverside Cemetery in Poland.

Friends will be received Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
