Willard J. Shaw âa�" 89 POLAND-Willard J. Shaw, 89, of Caprice Health Care, formerly of Girard and Poland, died Tuesday morning. Mr. Shaw was born in Columbus, Indiana, a son of Wesley & Edna Mae Wasson Shaw. He came to the McDonald area as a child. He was a 1935 graduate of McDonald High School, and worked in sales for Youngstown Sheet and Tube, and for Manchester Steel in Cleveland before retiring in 1976. Mr. Shaw was a member of John Calvin-St. Paul United Church of Christ, a charter member of the BPOE Elks in Girard, and a member of the William Farr Lodge No. 672 F. & A.M., where he received his 60 year membership pin. He is survived by his wife the former Marvella Stringer, whom he married November 5, 1937, a daughter, Judith (Robert) Hackley of Poland; three grandchildren; Lisa (Ed) Hansen; Laurie (James) Koewler, Robert (Deborah) Hackley; and six great-grandchildren, Cole Hansen , Wesley Koewler, Miranda Koewler, Chase Hansen, Jake Hackley and Lauren Hackley. Mr. Shaw was preceded in death by his parents.
