CONNEAUT-A graveside military service will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Belmont Park Cemetery, 3346 Belmont Avenue, Youngstown, for W. Thomas Williams, 73, formerly of Youngstown. Mr. Williams died January 7, 2005.
He was born April 28, 1931 in Youngstown, a son of the late Howard and June (Edwards) Williams. Mr. Williams was employed by the J&L Steel Company.
Mr. Williams was a proud United States Air Force Veteran, serving during the Korean War. He was an active member of the American Legion Post 151 in Conneaut and the American Legion Post 17 in Youngstown. Throughout the years, he worked tirelessly on their behalf and served as past Commander for both posts. He was also a member of Elks, Eagles, and Moose Clubs. Mr. Williams enjoyed collecting U.S. stamps, playing the guitar, going to the circus, and was a military history buff.
He is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Burke (Brian) of Beachwood, Ohio and Deborah (Robert Davidson) Williams of Jersey City, NJ; and three grandchildren, Sean, Erin, and Moira Burke.
