Virginia K. Townsend

Virginia K. Townsend, 85 NORTH LIMA- Virginia K. Townsend, 85, of Assumption Village died early Thursday morning at the nursing home. She was born in Youngstown on June 22, 1917, a daughter of Harvey E. and Hazel A. Dill Sisco. She was a lifelong area resident. Mrs. Townsend was a 1935 graduate of Chaney High School. She was an office secretary at Milk Inc., retiring in August of 1978, after 12 years. She also worked for the law offices of William Gorner and Marshal Bullock from 1964-1970. She was a member of Bethel Friends Church in Poland. Her husband William R., whom she married June 1, 1974, died December 7, 1981. She leaves one daughters, Bettelou ( John) Pasky of Poland; a son James K. ( Sandra) Welch of Santa Ana , California; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Besides her husband and parents, a daughter, Nancy Lee Martin and a grandson, Robert Martin preceded her in death. Funeral Services will be Saturday 12:00 PM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers, where friends maycall from 10:00- 11:45.
