Virginia C. Lawrence

Struthers - Virginia C. Lawrence, 88, went home to be with the Lord with her family by her side on May 25, 2017 at Maplecrest Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Mrs. Lawrence was born May 18, 1929 in Rochester, PA, a daughter of Edward and Virginia Sharik Conley.

She was a homemaker and was of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed playing bingo and bowling in her leagues at Holiday Bowl for many years. Virginia also loved and cherished her family and having family gatherings.

Her husband, Kenneth, whom she married April 8, 1978, died Feb. 1. 2000.

She is survived by two daughters, Virginia Sharpe and Rosemarie Hrusovsky; two sons, John (Pauline) Simchak and Thomas M. (Audrey) Simchak; two step-daughters, Lynnette Swanson and Jeanette Collinsworth; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Conley; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her caregiver Kimberly McDowell.

Besides her parents and husband, Virginia was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward and James Conley; and two grandchild, Pamela Kennedy and Brian Collinsworth.

Services will be held Tuesday at 1:30PM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, 11 Spring St., Struthers. Interment will follow at Lake Park Cemetery.

Friends and family will be received Tuesday from 11AM-1:15PM at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank the staff at Maplecrest for the excellent care they provided Virginia. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home in Struthers.
