New Middletown - Virginia A. Gulacy, 84, formerly of Poland, died Sunday afternoon, January 27, 2013 due to Alzheimer's Disease at Masternick Memorial Health Care Center.
Mrs. Gulacy was born July 9, 1928 in Coitsville, a daughter of Adam and Mary Oblechan Raseta.
She was a homemaker and previously worked at Gray's Drug Store, helping out in the pharmacy.
Virginia enjoyed cooking, gardening, and walking. She was a member of Bethel Friends Church in Poland.
She was a wonderful mother and wife and did everything for her family.
Her husband, Paul W. Gulacy, whom she married October 23, 1948, died July 4, 2005. She is survived by her daughter, Janet Williams and her fiancé Dave of Poland; son, Paul (Nanci) Gulacy of Portland, OR; and granddaughter, Paige Gulacy of Los Angeles, CA.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Adam, Nicholas, and Danny Raseta; one sister, Ann Yajich; and her son-in-law, Frank Williams.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11AM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland.
Friends and family will be received Thursday from 6-8 PM and Friday from 10-10:45 AM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Gulacy's family would like to express their appreciation and thank Dr. Duran and the staff of Masternick Memorial Health Care Center, especially Julie, for the wonderful care they gave to Virginia.
