Violet M. Bisconti, 97, died May 15, 2017 at her residence.

Mrs. Bisconti was born May 4, 1920 in Lowellville, a daughter of Salvatore and Angeline Ciccone Altiero. She was a 1938 graduate of Lowellville High School, where she was Valedictorian. Violet was a cook at Ernie's Dairy in Youngstown from 1955-1966.

Violet was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a life long member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Guild and led the weekly Rosary. She was an excellent cook and famous for her large meals at family get togethers and her famous Italian wedding soup and cavatelli. Violet will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Violet and her husband, Nick were married 70 years when he passed on April 26, 2011.

She is survived by three children, Charlotte Bisconti of Lowellville, Evelyn (Frank) Pisano of Poland, and Dr. Nick (Michelle) Bisconti of Akron; daughter-in-law, Cecelia Bisconti of Boardman; 19 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; and one great- great grandchild.

Besides her parents and husband, Violet was preceded in death by her son, Edward Bisconti; her grandson, Jacob Bisconti; three sisters, Minnie and Betty Rammuno, and Edith Davanzo; and two brothers, Carl and Albert Altiero.

A prayer service will be held on Friday at 9:30AM at Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, 244 McGill St., Lowellville, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church at 10:00AM. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Cemetery.

Friends and family will be received Thursday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
