Viola Gertrude Karol Dias

Viola Gertrude Karol Dias, 74 Boardman- Viola Gertrude Karol Dias, 74, of Boardman Specialty Care, formerly of Hillman Ave. died Wednesday afternoon at the nursing home. Miss. Dias was born April 18, 1932 in Poland, a daughter of Homer and Margaret Altimus Dias. She was raised in Poland Township and lived in New Springfield and New Middletown before settling in Youngstown in 1983. From 1952 until 1960, Miss. Dias worked at the Poland Bake Shop on Main Street. She was a member of Bethel Friends Church in Poland. She is survived by her brother Edrie (Virginia) Dias of Boardman; cousin, Yvonne (Alex) Mihalko of Windber, Pennsylvania; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Miss. Dias was preceded in death by two sisters, Alberta Guy and Ora Welty and three brothers, Homer, Alfred, and Ernest Dias. Funeral services will be Monday, 2:00 PM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers. Friends may call Monday from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM at the funeral home.
