Lowellville - Vicki Lago, 61, of Lowellville, died Wednesday evening at her residence.
Vicki was born December 31, 1950 in Youngstown, a daughter of Gerald and Lois Jane Anderson Lago.
Vicki was a life long member Bethel Lutheran Church in Boardman. A 1968 graduate of Poland Seminary High School, Vicki received her LPN from Choffin Career Center. Her nursing career included the Warren General Hospital and Veterans Administration Clinic on Belmont Avenue. May 4, 2004, while at the Veterans Administration Clinic, the Department of Veterans Affairs honored Vicki for her passion and dedication, the high recognition award, Secretary's Award of Excellence in Nursing.
Her determination, sense of humor, strong beliefs, and love are evident in the caring support and responses by her family, VA family, friends, and in all the lives she touched.
Vicki was a devoted and loving mother to her daughter, Alicia Lynn Stoner and son-in-law Derek Stoner of Poland.
Besides her parents, Vicki was preceded in death by her brother, Gary Lee Lago.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, 11:00 am at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Lowellville with Pastor Brett Rizzo officiating. Private Interment will take place at the Lowellville Cemetery.
Friends will be received Saturday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
