Veva Jane Gatze

Veva Jane Gatze, 83 Boardman-Veva Jane Gatze, 83, of Ron Joy Nursing Home formerly of Struthers and New Springfield died Friday afternoon at the Nursing Home. Mrs.Gatze was born October 20, 1919 in Wampum, Pennsylvania, a daughter of Joseph E. and Nella May Kriner Galbreath. She came to Struthers as a young girl. She was member of St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church in Struthers, former president of the Motion Picture Council of Greater Youngstown and former president and active member of the VFW Post #3538. She was a homemaker. Her husband William J Gatze whom she married October 2, 1941 died April 2, 1991. She leaves two daughters, Karen Milakovich of Youngstown and Veva Hasner of North Lima; three grandchildren, Erica (David) Payne, Jessica and Michaela Hasner and one great-grandson Nathan Payne. Two brothers, Elmer and Joseph Galbreath preceded her in death. Funeral Services will be Tuesday,9:30 AM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, and 10:00 AM at St. Nicholas Church.
