Vera Lutton Sonnenlitter

Vera Lutton Sonnenlitter, 87 Nebo, NC- Vera Lutton Sonnenlitter, 87, of Sunrise Rehabilitation and Care Center, formerly of Prospect Street in Youngstown, died Monday afternoon at the Center. Mrs. Sonnenlitter was born June 22, 1918 in Youngstown, a daughter of Elmer and Ethel Schaffer Lutton. She was a life-long area resident until moving to North Carolina several years ago. Mrs. Sonnenlitter was a homemaker, a former member of both North and Scienceville Jr. High Schoolâa�a��s PTA, a Band Booster, and was a volunteer for the election board. Her husband William whom she married July 18, 1940 died December 14, 1989. She leaves one daughter, Carol Philbrick of Marion, North Carolina; one son, William (Dolly) Sonnenlitter of Girard, Ohio; one sister, Katherine Meskunas of Cleveland; six grandchildren, Trudee Weatherby, Edward Sonnenlitter, Debbie Harakel, Cinthia Modzelewski, Terri Philbrick, Carleen Pedziwater and three great-grandchildren, Nicole, Amanda and Marek. Besides her parents and husband, Mrs. Sonnenlitter was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Sonnenlitter and granddaughter, Denise Sonnenliltter.
