Velma Perkins

R. Velma Wilt Perkins, 92 Green Township- Velma, born March 25, 1913 in Chesapeake, Ohio, was a daughter to Virgil and Susie Cartmill Cart. She lived in Bowling Green, Ohio with first husband Carl Wilt, who passed away in 1950. Preceding her in death were a son, Wayne in 1940 and a daughter, Lorraine in 1942. She moved to their farm in Green Township, Ohio in 1951. She leaves a son, Duane (Retta) Wilt of Green Township and daughter Janet Jones of Galliopolis, Ohio. Velma married Joe Perkins in 1959, and he passed away in 1989. She leaves a step-daughter, Dorothy (Robert) Dalburg of Struthers and a step-son, Joe (Ruth) Perkins of Poland. Velma is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; forty-one great grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. She attended church as a member of Evangel Baptist Church, made quilts for loved ones and enjoyed growing flowers to make floral arrangements. Funeral services will be Monday, 7:00 PM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers. Friends may call from 5:00 PM until 6:45 PM at the funeral home.
