Tyler John Miranda

September 28, 2000 — January 23, 2025

Struthers-Tyler John Luke Miranda, a cherished son, grandson, brother, nephew, and cousin, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on January 23, 2025, at the age of 24.

Born on September 28, 2000, in Youngstown, Ohio, Tyler was the son of Edwin Miranda, Jr. and Sonja (Stec) Littleton, and had the bonus love of his stepfather, Darrin Littleton, who helped raise him.

In 2018, Tyler graduated from the Leonard Kirtz School, where he adored his time spent with his teachers and fellow classmates. Although non-verbal, Tyler had a remarkable ability to express his feelings through his bright eyes and facial expressions. His infectious smile and memorable belly laughs were often the highlight of gatherings and left a lasting impression on those who got to witness his joy.

A lover of music, Tyler shared a special bond with his sister Sydney through their mutual admiration for the artist Taylor Swift. A true "Swiftie," when Tyler heard his favorite song "Shake it Off," it instantly ignited a beaming smile on his face. Beyond music, Tyler enjoyed relaxing in his favorite recliner, the companionship of his beloved dog Bentley, and proudly wearing his Ohio State Buckeyes attire complete with his Buckeyes themed wheelchair. Tyler also enjoyed family vacations to the beach and Disney that created many lasting memories for his family to cherish.

Tyler brought joy to all who knew and loved him and his bright smile and spirit will be lovingly remembered and missed.

Tyler is survived by his mother, Sonja Littleton of Struthers and his stepfather, Darrin Littleton of Niles; father, Edwin Miranda, Jr. of Austintown; sister, Sydney Littleton, with whom he was raised and lived with; brothers, Brandon and David Miranda of Struthers; grandparents, Rose Stec of Poland and Rosa Tirado of Austintown; aunts, Cathy Meyer of Struthers and Shirley (Tom Cavalier) Miranda-Thomas of Canfield; special cousins, Shane, Andromeda, and Persephone McCambridge; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins, who loved Tyler dearly.

Tyler was preceded in death by his grandparents, John Stec, Mary "Gigi" Littleton, and Leoncio Tirado; and his uncle, Harry Meyer.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, from 5:00-6:45 p.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, 270 N. Main St., Poland, where a funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m.
