Travis A. Ramsey, 33
POLAND - Travis A. Ramsey, 33, went home to be with his Savior on June 15, 2017, after an 11-month battle with cancer.
Travis was born Sept. 8, 1983, in Youngstown.
He was a 2001 Leetonia High School graduate. He went on to continue his education at Kent State University, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and later, Geneva College for his Master’s in Business.
Travis started his career at American Standard in Salem, where he worked for 10 years. He then went to work at Vallourec Star and became senior industrial performance manager. Travis developed business relationships all over the world, traveling to Germany, France, and Brazil.
He was a member and elder at the Trinity Fellowship Church in Boardman. Travis was very involved at the church and was the youth group leader of Strong Tower Student Ministry with his wife, Heather, for the last eight years. Travis loved his Lord and Savior and it was truly his passion to make himself available to the kids and made sure they had the same foundation for pursuing the Lord. He also helped with the children’s ministry and the music ministry.
Travis was a soccer coach with his son’s teams in the Poland Youth Soccer Association. He was an avid Kentucky Wildcats fan, as well as Notre Dame football.
Travis was a kid at heart, was always the life of the party, and loved making people laugh.
He is survived by his wife, the former Heather Miller of Poland, whom he married June 25, 2005; his two sons, who were his pride and joy, Logan and Liam; his parents, Darlene Ramsey and Jim Limpose of Salem; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dan and Debbie Miller of Boardman; stepbrother, Michael (Lyndi) Douglass; his grandmother, Dorothy Fletcher of Salem; one sister-in-law, Rachael Miller of Boardman; two brothers-in-law, Justin (fiancée Gina Cossette) Miller of Poland and Eric Miller of Boardman; and two nieces, Kaylee and Michayla Douglass.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Paul Fletcher.
Services will be held at the Trinity Fellowship Church, 4749 South Ave. in Boardman on Saturday, June 17, 2017, at 4 p.m., with Pastor A.J. Platt officiating.
Friends and family will be received Saturday from 1 to 3:45 p.m. at the church.
