Tracy W Shipley Sr

Struthers - Tracy W. Shipley Sr., 94, died November 20, 2015 in the comfort of his home. He was born August 11, 1921 in Youngstown, son of the late James and Nellie Linderman Shipley.
He was a 1939 graduate of Struthers High School and attended Youngstown College. Tracy was employed as a steelworker at Youngstown Sheet & Tube for 42 years, retiring in 1982. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church, a VIP at Punderson and Salt Fork State Park and was a volunteer at the Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley. He enjoyed camping and bowling and was a member of three different leagues.
He leaves his daughter, Naomi Kaye (Ron) Sparks of Struthers; two sons, Tracy W. (Nancy) Shipley Jr. of Greenford and Ronald (Glennda) Shipley of Struthers and 26 grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Florence Shipley on January 13, 2007; his sister, Jeanetta Eisenbraun, and five brothers, Robert, Richard, Delmar, Ernest and Sturgis Shipley.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11am at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, 11 Spring St. Struthers, with Dr. Phil Cooper officiating. Interment will follow in the Columbiana Cemetery.
Friends will be received on Tuesday from 6 to 8pm and Wednesday from 10-10:45am at the funeral home.
