Salem - Tracie A. Hensley, 49, died Thursday evening, August 9, 2012 at her home.
Tracie was born July 21, 1963 in Youngstown, a daughter of Richard Cannon and Linda (Wise) Fletcher.
She attended Struthers grade school, Crestview High School her freshman year, and graduated from Charlotte High School in Punta Gorda, FL, where she and her family moved when she was a sophomore. She lived in Florida many years then later moved to North Carolina and Virginia, and came back home to this area in April of 2011.
Since returning to this area, Tracie was currently working as a supervisor for Janitor and Building Maintenance, Inc. While in North Carolina and Virginia, she worked for Charter Communications, managing several offices for them.
Tracie was a loving and extremely devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, granddaughter, aunt, and friend. She centered her life around her family and found no better joy than spending time with them and her best friend, Lisa. In her spare time, Tracie loved collecting Native American collectibles and dream catchers.
She is survived by her mother and step-father, Linda and Henry Fletcher, with whom she made her home; father and step-mother, Richard and Lois Cannon of Struthers; sister, Jill Dudik of Canfield; three children, Douglas (Kelly) Suchy, Shannon (Justin) Cline, both of Boardman, and Leigha Hensley, at home; five grandchildren, Gabrielle and Ian Suchy, Christopher Barotti, and McKenzie and Kyle Cline; grandfather, Lester Brownlee of Struthers; two nephews, Raymond and Jonathan Dudik of Canfield; and eight step-siblings, Michael (Denise) Macklen of Pittsburgh, Kevin Macklen of Reading, PA, Wayne (Rea) Macklen of Pittsburgh, Richard (Rebecca) Macklen of Struthers, Marilyn (Edward) Planinsek of Bridgeville, PA, Susan Macklen of Struthers, Lori (Michael) Dohar of Tampa, FL, and Nancy (Ronnie) Donofrio of Canfield.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Maxine and Lewis Wise; paternal grandparents, Bernard Cannon and Velma Cannon-Brownlee; and brother-in-law, Raymond Dudik.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home in Struthers, where family and friends will be received from 5-6:45 p.m. at the funeral home, prior to the service.
