Boardman - Tillie Tennis, 93, went home to be with Jesus March 25, 2014 at Vista Center of Boardman.
Mrs. Tennis was born February 14, 1921 in Baltimore, MD,a daughter of Ephrim and Ann Johnson Tennis.
She was a homemaker and devoted wife who loved to cook and feed people. She loved the Lord and attended Victory Christian Center.
Tillie enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family.
Her husband, Richard, whom she married in 1949, died in 2002.
She is survived by two daughters, Dolly (Walter) Stevens of Cleveland and Amelia (Tom) Gearhart of Boardman; a son, Mitchell (Sylvia) Tennis of RI; two brothers, Don (J.C.) Stevens of NJ, Beaver Tennis of NY; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, Tillie was preceded in death by a son, Blancy Tennis; and seven siblings.
Services will be held at Davis-Becker Funeral Home Boardman, Saturday at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at Lakewood Cemetery in Akron.
Friends and family will be received Friday from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Saturday 9-10:45AM at the funeral home.
