Poland - Thomas "Tucker" Benzenhoefer, 78, died June 29, 2016 in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family. He was born July 16, 1937 in Poland, son of the late, LaVergne and Laura Jones Benzenhoefer.
He was a certified master heavy duty mechanic and was owner operator of Benzenhoefer and Son. For the last 25 years he was employed with Marucci and Gaffney where he retired from in 2010. He was a member of Operating Engineers Union Local #66 and was a lifetime member of AMVETS. In his younger years he was a dirt track stock car racer and was an avid NASCAR fan. Tucker proudly served in the United States Navy on the USS Shadwell.
He leaves his loving wife Carol, whom he married on December 14, 1957; his daughter, Kim (Ron) Spickler; son, Tom (Lianne) Benzenhoefer Jr.; grandchildren, Jessica (Dave) Isenberg and Katie (Jason Bieber) Spickler; step great grandson, Zachary Karshner; four brothers, David, Gary, Ronnie and Kenny; sisters, Ida Sweesey and Ellen "Susie" Schaefer; several nieces, nephews and cousins and three faithful companions, Millie, Tina and Rosie.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles "Cappy" and Robert and his sisters, Patricia, Charlotte and Diana.
Friends will be received on Friday from 3-7pm at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, 270 N. Main St. Poland, followed by a brief service at 7pm conducted by the family.
