Thomas J Wrona

Thomas J. Wrona, 81, of Youngstown, passed away on Friday, November 8, 2024 at Austinwoods Nursing Center.

Born June 22, 1943 in Youngstown, he was the son of the late Edward and Pauline (Ostrowski) Wrona.

Thomas grew up on the south side of Youngstown. He graduated from Cardinal Mooney where he excelled in football and graduated in 1962. In 1964 he was drafted into the U.S. Army where he served 3 years in Europe. On August 2, 1967, he married Elizabeth Rennie and together shared over 50 years of marriage until her passing in 2018.

He worked at WCI Steel in Warren for 30 years until his retirement in 2006. He enjoyed traveling, going for walks in Poland Woods and watching sports. 

Thomas leaves behind his daughter, Dorothy Wrona, of Florida; and 3 nieces.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, Edward, in 2000.

Thomas will be interred at St. John’s Episcopal Church next to his wife.
