New Middletown - Thomas D. Wargo, 76, died Wednesday morning, February 3, 2016 at Masternick Memorial Health Care Center.
Tom was born April 2, 1939 in Youngstown, a son of the late Thomas and Ann Farnic Wargo.
Raised in Youngstown, Tom was a graduate of South High School. He worked for 30+ years as a claims investigator for Green Haines & Sgambati, retiring at the age of 65.
He was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in New Middletown. Tom enjoyed working at the Canfield Fair alongside his son-in-law and was a faithful Browns fan.
His is survived by his wife, the former Dolores Dzurbala, whom he married September 12, 1959; daughter, Debbie (Jack) Richardson of New Springfield; son, Tom (Kathy) Wargo of New Middletown; two sisters, Carol (Gene) Merdich of Canfield and Barbara Sheetz; four grandchildren, Nicole (Troy) Wargo, Amanda (Stephen) Horne, Kimberly (Kyle) Wisbith, and Jessica (Brian) Delvaux; three great-grandchildren, Hayden and Bryce Wilson, Brody Wisbith, and twin girls on the way; and his Maltese, Bella.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in New Middletown, where family and friends will be received from 9:30-10:15 a.m., prior to the Mass. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
Tom's family would like to thank Dr. Michael Evan, the staff of Masternick Memorial Health Care Center, and all the friends he made while there for all their kindness and care.
