Poland - Thomas M. Rogenski, 75, of Poland, died January 24, 2011 at Caprice Health Center.
Mr. Rogenski was born December 1, 1935 in Youngstown, a son of Walter and Elizabeth Shimpf Rogenski.
He was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. Mr. Rogenski enjoyed walking, golf, practicing his putting, basketball, and was an animal lover.
His wife, the former Leah B. Hammers, whom he married June 9, 1962, died September 14, 1982. He is survived by his daughter, Leah Hicks of Struthers; two sons, Michael (Tammy) Rogenski, Sr. of Poland, with whom he resided, and Andrew Rogenski of Struthers; seven grandchildren, Michael (Amanda) Rogenski, Jr. of New Middletown, Chad (Jeana) Rogenski of Poland, Cammy Rogenski of Poland, Tara (Dave) Hicks of Youngstown, Timothy Hicks of Struthers, Andrea Rogenski of Youngstown, and April Mitchell of Struthers; and six great-grandchildren, Michael, III and Regan Rogenski, Jason and Amyiah Rogenski, Aidan Terlecki, and Charlie Jenkins, III.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Steven Memmer and Jessica Rogenski; brother, Walter Rogenski; and three sisters, Ethel Szelazek, Elizabeth D'Amico, and Rose Drozda.
A prayer service will be held Thursday at 9:15 a.m. at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home in Struthers followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Dominic Church. Interment will follow at Green Haven Memorial Gardens in Canfield.
Family and friends will be received Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
