THOMAS D. MCDONAGH âa�" 67 Youngstownâa�"Thomas D. McDonagh, 67 of 50 Fairway Dr., died Saturday at his residence. He was born in Detroit Michigan, a son of Thomas & Anna (Joyce) McDonagh. He was raised on Lowellville then later moved to Detroit. He attended Lowellville High School, graduating in 1957, he then went on to Youngstown State University, graduating in 1964 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration. Mr. McDonagh was an Accountant for several Major Corporations in the Cleveland and Detroit areas, and was associated with the McDonagh Insurance Agency in Lowellville. He had retired in 2000, after 36 years as an accountant. During his retirement he offered his accounting services to his family, friends and neighbors. A member of the Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Lowellville Businessmenâa�a��s Association, National Republican Party and the Young Republicans of Michigan. It was Mr. McDonagh who approached Mr. Savage, with the idea of a bike path in Lowellville, and he was very instrumental in its development. He leaves two sisters, Mary Ellen Shutes of Youngstown; Joyce (Warren) Smalley-McDonagh of Albuquerque, NM; four brothers, James McDonagh of Poland; Lawrence (Lee) McDonagh of Canton, MI; Dennis (Laurie) McDonagh of Jacksonville, FL; William (Karen) McDonagh of Hastings Minnesota; three nieces; eight nephews; a great niece and a great nephew. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by an infant brother, Kevin McDonagh. Family will receive friends Thursday from 4:00 âa�" 8:00 PM, at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Lowellville where prayer services will be held Friday morning at 10:00 AM. A mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10:30 AM at the Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Lowellville.
