Thomas Paul Johnson, Sr., 80, of Edinburg, died early Wednesday morning at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Mr. Johnson was born December 11, 1928 in Girard, a son of Anthony and Carmel Mihaly Johnson. He was raised in Girard and later resided in Hillsville, PA. He attended Girard High School and served in the United States Army from 1950 until 1952 during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Johnson was a self employed remodeling contractor and a musician, playing the steel guitar for the country-western band Road Work. In his free time he loved fishing on Berlin Lake.. His wife the former Anna (Nena) Luscre, whom he married May 26, 1951 died October 3, 2003. He leaves his son, Thomas âa�A"TJâa�A� Johnson of Poland; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife, Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by two sisters, Rosalie and Louise; and two brothers, Francis and Anthony. Funeral services will be Friday, 7:00 p.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland where friends may call prior to the service from 4-6:45 p.m. Condolences can be made to
