Theresa E Dattilo, 90, of Struthers, Ohio, passed away Tuesday morning February 6, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Health Center, Boardman campus.
She was born May 20, 1927 in Hillsville, Pa., a daughter of Ralphael and Carmella (Caldararo) Logozzo and had moved to Lowellville as a child and had been a lifelong area resident .
Theresa was a graduate of Lowellville High School and had worked at her parents grocery store, "Logozzo's Liberty Market". She later had worked as a head cashier for Society Bank.
She had been a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Parish in Lowellville and after her marriage to James Dattilo, she moved to Poland and became a member of Holy Family Parish. She was a Red Cross volunteer, and had also volunteered at the St. Vincent DePaul Soup Kitchen. She was a member of both Lowellville and Poland Senior Citizens, The Poland KCetts, and the Gloria D'talia Lodge..
Theresa is survived by her two sisters, Susan Mediate of Fairview Park, OH, and Mary Scali Sant of Sarasota, FL; her nieces and nephews, Sandra Pitoscia, and Marianne Logozzo both of Lowellville, Suzanne Leach of North Olmstead, Joann Higgins, Theresa Marie Stucchino, Debbie Mediate, Barbara Gazibara all of Florida, Adele Pezzatta of Ala.; two nephews, John Scali of Baltimore, MD, Ralph Logozzo of Youngstown, OH, and many great-nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents,Theresa was preceded in death by her husband, James Dattilo; her infant sister, Joann Logozzo; a brother, Joseph Logozzo; three brothers-in-law, John Scali, Sam Sant, James Mediate; two nephews, Frank Mediate, and Joseph Logozzo, and a niece, Colleen Mediate.
Services will be held in the chapel of Holy Rosary Cemetery in Lowellville Saturday February 10, 2018 at 10:30 a.m.
