Struthers - Thelma M. Mansky, 74, of Struthers, died Sunday at her home.
Thelma was born July 15, 1937 in New Castle, PA, a daughter of Wilbur and Irene Hettenbaugh Macom.
A 1954 graduate of East Lawrence High School, Thelma received a degree in nursing from Youngstown Hospital Association School of Nursing in 1959. She was a registered nurse for the Massilon State Hospital, retiring in 2002. After retirement, Thelma worked for Horizon House in Boardman.
She enjoyed her pet dogs, baking, and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by three nieces, Lori Macom of Wampum, PA, Lisa (Jim) Macom Iafe of Cranberry Twp., PA, and Deb Padilla of Ca.; two nephews, Duane Padilla of Ca., and Jamie (Crystal) Macom of Wampum, PA and their daughter, Anne; and sister-in-law, Kate Macom of Wampum, PA.
In addition to her parents, Thelma was preceded in death by a brother, James Macom and a sister, Janet Padilla.
A memorial service will be held Friday at 6:00 pm at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home in Struthers. Interment will take place at Unity Baptist Cemetery in Harlansburg, PA.
