Poland - Sylvia L. Sacui, 87 of Poland, died Thursday, December 24, 2009 at Shepherd of the Valley in Boardman.
Mrs. Sacui was born June 20, 1922 in Moorabin, Melbourne Australia a daughter of Richard and Rita Fletcher.
Mrs. Sacui was a homemaker, and enjoyed traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
She met her husband Daniel Sacui, a United States Marine, in Australia, while he was on R & R. They were married in 1945, and after WWII, settled in Youngstown. He passed away May 30, 1983. She leaves three sons, Richard Sacui of Poland, Robert (Sandy) Sacui of Campbell and Daniel (Jenise) Sacui of Struthers; 8 grandchildren, David (Laurie) Marsolo, Richard (Mary) Sacui, Brian Sacui, Sara (Scott) Thomas, Caitlin Sacui, Joshua (Jordan) Sacui, Dana Sacui, Daniel R. Sacui, Daniel P. Sacui, and two great-grandsons, Michael Patrick Sacui, Colin Joseph Sacui. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Fletcher, a sister, Irene Bright and a daughter in-law Rosalind Sacui.
Family and friends will be received Monday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, in Struthers, where service will be held at 2:00 pm.
