Susan Marie (Rice) Anderson âa�" 50 POLAND âa�" Susan Marie (Rice) Anderson, 50, of 8331 Misty Ridge Trail, died from AML Leukemia Friday morning at her residence, She was born in Trumbull County on January 31, 1957, a daughter of Don and Jean Veuthier Rice, and moved to Poland 16 years ago. Mrs. Anderson was baptized in St. Christine Catholic Church and was a member of the Poland Presbyterian Church. She graduated from Ursuline High School in 1975, and attended Youngstown State University, and St. Elizabeth School of Nursing, graduating in 1979. As a registered Nurse, Mrs. Anderson had worked at Memorial SW in Houston, Parkside in Ft. Wayne, IN, and Ohio State Hospitals in Columbus. For the past 15 years she was an RN Charge Nurse at the Fresenius Center in Austintown. She was also certified in Oncology and Nephrology. She is survived by her parents of Youngstown, her husband Ronald W. Anderson, whom she married March 27, 1985, one daughter, Sarah Anderson at home, (Denison University) ; one son, Michael Anderson, at home (Poland Seminary), and one brother, Bruce Rice of Cortland. Sue was a devoted mother, wife, daughter and sister. Although she will be sadly missed, she has inspired those around her with her smile, compassion, work ethic, and especially her brave resistance to adversity. Family and friends will be received Monday from 5-8 at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland, and Tuesday from 9:00 âa�" 9:45 AM, at the Poland Presbyterian Church, where funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM.
