Boardman - Sue Ann Waring, 80, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2024 at St. Mary's Alzheimer's Center in Columbiana.
She was born October 1, 1943 in Struthers, a daughter of the late Frank and Catherine (Holy) Fisher. She graduated from Boardman High School, and she was a devoted and loving wife and mother. She also was a skilled beautician, and while she never made it a full time career, she enjoyed being able to have people come over to her home to cut their hair.
Sue was a caring, compassionate, and patient woman. She was her husband's biggest supporter and cheerleader, especially when he bowled. She spent many years babysitting for Dr. Crago and had a special bond with his daughter, Amber. Never one to sit still, she made it a point to keep herself busy, whether by reading a good book, or being out in the woods enjoying her natural surroundings.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her beloved husband of 62 years, James L. Waring; her daughter, Cheryl Smrek; grandchildren, Brittney (Jose), Lilth, and Grant Carr; and siblings, Frank Fisher and Dorothy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Laurie Deal.
Per Sue's wishes, there will be no services or calling hours. She will be cremated.
