Steve R Urban

Westerville - Steve R. Urban, 90, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2016 in Parkside Village Assisted Living. He was born in Youngstown on September 15, 1926, son of the late John and Mary Pataki Urban and raised on Van Buren St. in Campbell.

Steve was a carpenter by trade and retired from Perkins Builders Company in 1988, following 15 years of employment. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and the Carpenter's Union #171. Steve was an avid golfer and once hit a hole-in-one. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He leaves his children, Stephen (Carmel Ann) Urban of Charlotte, NC, Christine (Ronald) Calpin of Westerville and Annette (Bruce) Long of Albany, NY; grandchildren, Stephanie (David Sanctis) Urban, Angela (Travis) Oberlin, Christopher Calpin, William "Billy" Calpin, Daniel "Danny" Calpin, Andrea Long and Gretchen Long and three sisters-in-law, Leda Urban, Mary Naples and Marie Naples.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Madeline Naples Urban on March 29, 2011; his four brothers, John, Joseph, George and Emil Urban and four sisters, Betty Kukura, Mary Balog, Ann "Pep" Urban and Margaret Roguski.

Prayer services will be Tuesday at 9:15am at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, 270 N. Main St. Poland, OH 44514. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10am at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1125 Turin Ave. Youngstown, OH 44510 with The Very Rev. Msgr. Michael J. Cariglio Jr. as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Poland Riverside Cemetery.

Friends will be received on Monday from 4-7pm at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Poland.

The family asks that memorial donations be made, in his name, to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
