Poland - Stephen P. Masucci, 69, of Poland died Friday, March 14, 2008 at his residence. Mr. Masucci was born January 2, 1939 in Youngstown, a son of Michael and Anna Napolitano Masucci. He was a lifelong area resident. A 1957 graduate of Ursuline High School, Mr. Masucci went on to receive his bachelor degree in education from Youngstown State University and his master degree from Westminster College. He began his teaching career at Mohawk school district and then taught at Hilltop Elementary School in Canfield, where he worked until his retirement. Mr. Masucci also owned Masucci Landscaping for close to 30 years. He was a member of the Mahoning Valley Landscape and Nursery Association and Alpha Phi Delta. He leaves his wife, the former Nancy Sfara, whom he married July 16, 1966; his daughter, Nancy (Marc) Creemers of Medina; his son, Michael (Michelle) Masucci of Poland; a sister, Rosemary Masucci of Boardman; a brother, John (Judy) Masucci of Poland, and five grandchildren, Michael, Katie, and Hannah Masucci and Jason and Brian Creemers. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Al Masucci. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at Holy Family Church in Poland at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Poland Riverside Cemetery. Friends will be received Monday from 4-7 p.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland and Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Please visit
