Stephan J. Curtis âa�" 63 LOWELLVILLE âa�" Stephan J. Curtis, 63 of Lowellville, died early Monday morning at his residence. Mr. Curtis was born in Cleveland, on April 24, 1943, a son of Raymond & Wilma Skinner Curtis. He graduated from West Geauga High School in 1961. He then attended Michigan State University, and graduated from the Baptist Bible Seminary in Johnson City, New York, with a major in Biblical Languages. He was the Pastor of the Grace Baptist Church on Oak St. Ext. for fourteen years. He was choir director at the Bible Baptist Temple in Campbell. Mr. Curtis was a semi-professional photographer, and loved to read. He also enjoyed all sports, sailing, singing, and especially listening to classical music. Mr. Curtis taught drivers training for the National Driver Training School, worked for the former Wean United for over 21 years, and drove school bus for several of the local school districts, most recently for the Campbell School District. He leaves his wife, the former Janice M. Maynard, whom he married December 27, 1967, two daughters, Melody (Joseph) Whinnery of Marysville, Heidi (Douglas) Chandler of Burton, two sons, Marcus (Elizabeth) Curtis of Pembine, WI, Edward (Tina) Curtis of Montrose, Pennsylvania, one sister, Carol (Roger) Petty of Chicago, Ill., and six grandchildren, Daniel & Kalista Chandler, Melanie Curtis, Nathan & Joah Whinnery and Hosanna Curtis. Family and friends may call Thursday from 4-8 at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Lowellville. Funeral Services will be Friday at 2:00 PM at the Gospel Baptist Church 6235 Clingan Rd, Poland OH 44514, friends may call Friday from 1:00 âa�" 1:45 PM. Interment will be private.
