POLAND âa�" Stella L. Venditti, 90, passed away Tuesday morning at the Hospice House in Poland. She was born April 11, 1917 in Campbell, the daughter of Joseph & Josephine (Bocek) Sikora. Formerly of New Bedford, PA., Stella has resided in Poland for the past 11 years. Stella was a homemaker, and a life time member of the St. James the Apostle Church in New Bedford, PA, where she belonged to the Ladies Guild. She was also a member of the New Bedford Garden Club where she enjoyed making arrangements and won many blue ribbons. Baking (especially Christmas Cookies), Crocheting and Gardening were among her favorite pastimes. Her husband, Arthur âa�A"Tuckerâa�A� Venditti, whom she married November 6, 1937, died July 25, 2002. She is survived by her daughter Donna (Edward) Swaneck of Poland; a son, Robert (Maryann) Venditti of New Middletown; a sister Virginia Fluent of Hubbard; grandchildren, Ed Swaneck, Jr., Debbie Swaneck Gierlach, Lori Venditti Deskin, Robin Swaneck, Walter Gierlach and Tim Deskin; great-grandchildren, Krista Gierlach and Megan Deskin. Besides her parents and husband, Stella was preceded in death by three sisters, Nellie Whan, Tina Butia, and Helen Zedaker; and four brothers, Frank, Joseph, John and Edward Sikora. Family and friends will be received Thursday from 5-7 at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, 270 N. Main St., Poland, where prayer services will be held Friday at 10:00 am. Funeral Mass will be Friday at 11:00 am. at the St. James the Apostle Church in New Bedford.
