Stella Smith

Stella Smith, 93 Struthers- Stella Smith, 93 of Maplecrest formerly of Stymie Road in Lowellville died early Thursday morning at the nursing home. Mrs. Smith was born August 6, 1912 in New Castle, Pennsylvania, a daughter of Alex and Stella Schenk Citanski. She was a life-long resident of Lowellville until moving to Maplecrest several years ago. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and enjoyed helping her son with farming. Her husband William Carl Smith died December 5, 1978. She leaves one daughter Janet Erskine of Poland; one son, Calvin (Alice) Smith of Lowellville; five grandchildren, Jim (Kim) Erskine, Terry (Steve) Valencia, Sue (Rick) Clayton, Amy Patsko and Bill Erskine; and seven great-grandchildren, Kristen, Katie, Calvin and Colby Clayton, Joseph, Michael and Matthew Patsko. Besides her parents and husband Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by two sisters, Peggy List and Blanche Shane and one brother, Alex Citanski. She will be sadly missed by her family and all who knew and loved her. The family would like to thank the employees and nursing staff of Maplecrest Nursing Home for taking such loving care of Stella.
