Stella L. Evans,80 Campbell- Stella L. Evans, 80, of 141 Chambers St. died Tuesday evening at Southwest General Hospital. Mrs. Evans was born in Johnstown, PA June 3,1925, a daughter of Harry and Stella Baird Mardis. She was a nurses aid at the Blackburn Home for 10 years. She was a member of the Bible Baptist Temple Church in Campbell. Her husband, Joseph, whom she married January 31, 1950, died October 3,1988. She leaves a daughter, Debby Evans of Willoughby,OH; two sons, Ronald (Betty Jean) Evans of Poland and Joseph Paul (Helen) Evans of Campbell; two sisters, Mable Higley of Findley, OH and Naomi (Carl) Dickey of Youngstown; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Harry, James, Nelson and William Mardis; four sisters, June Repine, Hazel Beard, Shirley Oaks, and Jane Mardis; and one grandson. Funeral services will be Saturday 1 PM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home. Friends may call Friday from 5-8PM and Saturday one hour prior at the funeral home.
