Stanley âa�A"Dutchâa�A� Tarnaski, 83 YOUNGSTOWN- Stanley Tarnaski, 83, died Thursday evening at Forum Health Northside Medical Center. Mr. Tarnaski was born April 6, 1920 in Struthers, a son of Andrew and Anna Swiderski Tarnaski. He was a lifelong area resident. He was a 1938 graduate of Struthers High School. He worked at Youngstown Sheet and Tube (LTV) for 32 years, where he received an award for the Pro of the Month; and was an active member of Steel Workers Local 1418. He served in the United States Army during WW II in the South Pacific Campaign. He was Radio Technician Fifth Grade. He was a former member of the VFW Post 3538 Struthers. He was also a member of the Civilian Conservation Corp. Mr. Tarnaski enjoyed a good game of billiards and was a former member of the Steel Valley Harmonica Club. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church and the Polish National Alliance. His wife the former, Lena Susak, whom he married January 20, 1948, died June 13, 1999. He leaves two sons, Ray and Rich Tarnaski; and one granddaughter Holly. He was preceded in death by one brother, Joe Tarnaski; and one sister, Sophie Voytilla. Private calling hours will be held on Sunday afternoon. Funeral services will also be private on Monday afternoon. Arrangements are being handled by the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers.
