Stanley Katsaras, 74 Poland âa�" Stanley Katsaras 74, of Poland died Friday morning at his residence. Mr. Katsaras was born December 28, 1927 in Symi, Greece, a son of George and Sylvia Kontos Katsaras. He has been a lifelong area resident. He was a 1946 graduate of Campbell High School. He received a B.A, and a B.S. in Education from Ohio University, where he was a member of Theta Chi fraternity. He recieved his Masters Degree from Westminster. Mr. Katsaras was a teacher in the Hubbard School District for 43 years, before retiring in 1996. He was an assistant football coach at Hubbard in the 1960âa�a�� s and 1970âa�a��s. He was a member of Saint John Greek Orthodox Church in Boardman, and was a United States Army veteran. He was an avid fisherman. Besides his wife, the former Judith A. Jones, he leaves, two sons, Rich(Stephanie) Katsaras of Boardman and Alexander(Maria) Katsaras of Mentor, Ohio; three daughters, Kimberlee(Mike) Jeswald of Poland, Kristine(Robert)Fox of Boardman, and Karen(Rick)Varner of Richfield, Ohio; one brother, Dennis(Judy)Katsaras of Campbell; one sister, Katherine Katsaras of Poland; a sister-in-law, Nora Katsaras; and thirteen grandchildren; Kori, Joseph, Jacob, Robert, Anthony, Jessica, Sidney, Madison, Jonathan, Richard, Christina, Alexandra, and Adam. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday 10:00AM at Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church Friends may call Monday from 5-8PM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland, and Tuesday from 9:00-9:45AM at the church.
