Sophia A. McKnight

Sophia A. McKnight, 96, died December 2, 2017 at Hospice of the Valley, Hospice House.
Mrs. McKnight was born November 14, 1921 in New Castle, PA, a daughter of Stanley and Mary Zaremba.
She was a graduate of Aliquippa High School. Sophia went on to graduate from nursing school in Orange, NJ.
Sophia worked as a Registered Nurse, retiring in 1977.
She was a member of Christ Our Savior Parish @ St. Nicholas Church in Struthers.
She was an avid bingo attendee at the St. Nicholas Great Hall.
Her husband Edward E. McKnight, whom she married in 1948, died in 2005.
She is survived by two daughters, Christine (Milan) Belohlavek of Struthers and Patricia (Thomas) Fox of Simpsonville, SC; two grandchildren, Kelly J. (Fadi Karim) Belohlavek, Milan E. (Kristina) Belohlavek; three great-grandchildren, Lilly and Olivia Karim, and Milan J. Belohlavek.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five siblings.
At this time there are no services or calling hours, however mass cards may be made in c/o St. Nicholas Church.
