BRUNSWICK-Skipper Raymond Dyer, 59, died Friday, June 1, 2012 at Life Care of Medina.
Mr. Dyer was born May 4, 1953 in Wilmington, Delaware, a son of Mervin M. and Corrine (Parnell) Dyer.
A resident of Alaska for 30 years, Mr. Dyer was a graduate of Dimond High School in Anchorage and the University of Alaska. He was employed by ARCO in Alaska and most recently for Tharo Systems, Inc. in Brunswick as an electronic technician until 2009.
He leaves his wife, the former Cheryl Lynn Meeker, whom he married October 28, 1978; sister, Claramarie (Sofi) Dyer-Papraniku of Anchorage; nephew, Liridon Papraniku; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles and Dorothy Meeker of Boardman.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Good Hope Lutheran Church, 98 Homestead Drive in Boardman with Pastor Robert Quaintance officiating. Interment will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday one hour prior to the service at the church.
Material contributions can be made in Mr. Dyer's name to the American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association, American Kidney Foundation, or to Good Hope Lutheran Church.
Arrangements are being handled by the Davis-Becker Funeral Home in Boardman.
