Shirley A. Broderick, 79, of Youngstown, died on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Vista Center of Boardman. She was born on June 14, 1935 in Youngstown, and was a 1953 graduate of South High School.
Shirley was employed as an operator with Ohio Bell and was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, where she was a Sunday School Teacher. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
She leaves her husband, Gary F. Broderick of the home; two sons, Gary D. (Lori) Broderick of Naples. FL and Douglas D. (Melody) Broderick of Youngstown; six grandchildren, Atty. Jordan Broderick, Dr. Erin (Dr. Andrew Deak) Broderick, Michael (Erin) Broderick, Christopher (Chrissy) Broderick, Andrew Broderick and Alexander Broderick; three great grandchildren, Aliyana and Colton Broderick and Benedict Deak; her sister, Carole (Ray) Fletcher of Vermillion, OH; and two brothers, Frank (Susan) Zizzo of Naples. FL and Anthony (Robin) Zizzo of Geneva, OH.
She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Reardon; mother and stepfather, Ann and Dominic Zizzo; and her sister, Joyce Ochman.
In honoring her wishes, there will be no services. The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at Vista Center of Boardman, Victoria House and All Caring Hospice. The Davidson-Becker Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
